A cameraphone-wielding member GMInsideNews has caught what looks be pair Volkswagen prototypes Michigan, and while it’s hard to tell full extent of changes or size of sedans, he appears to have snagged next-generation Jetta undergoing testing.
Even with the Ford Fusion and Chrysler minivan providing bit scale, it’s hard pin down dimensions prototypes. However, we’re more inclined assume that VWs refreshed Jetta, particularly based roofline, greenhouse overhangs, as well as previously released official renderings the forthcoming 2011 NMS, which looks markedly more assertive than what we see here.
While odd Toyota-like badge on boot nice touch, don’t expect that element to make it to production. Instead, 2011 Jetta will finally replace current model’s ovoid headlamps more angular, aggressive units found on refreshed Golf GTI. Out back, the trunk benefits subtle lift tuck, with new rectangular taillamps slightly blistered fenders finishing off the refresh. Assuming our product cycle prediction hats straight, we can expect to see the new Jetta person later this year, with sales beginning early 2011.
