After Mini‘s many attempts to coax Porsche into race, including videos, posting an online petition and even flying banner plane over automaker’s North American headquarters, lights have all gone dark Atlanta, and it looks like Mini out of luck.
But show must go on! Even if Porsche has officially decided to decline.
Not only Mini offering space at Road Atlanta for up to 400 people to come watch, they′re even providing race-ready 911 Carrera S. As who’s driving, that’s still up the air. Mini posted this advertisement (right) its Facebook page, hoping find one brave soul who will put the mighty 911 through its paces against the Cooper S.
What’s more, Mini is even offering up track time to any of 400 guests who show up on June 21. It certainly sounds like fun day will had, regardless of race’s final outcome, we’re now wishing that we lived just little bit closer to Atlanta. Remember, you can keep up to date on all of Mini vs. Porsche happenings on Facebook.
