Revealed a few months ago at the Geneva Motor Show, Abarth versions of Fiat 500C Punto Evo are now ready hit European markets. But that’s just tip proverbial iceberg as hot-hatch house reportedly planning even hotter EsseEsse versions both.
The Punto Evo Abarth – based recently facelifted version Fiat Grande Punto – packs 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo good for 163 horsepower, but the upcoming EsseEsse version promises boost output up 180 horses. The 1.4-liter turbo in Abarth’s version the 500C retro cabrio, meanwhile, currently produces 138 horsepower, but tipped climb 157 in Esse-Esse spec.
The 500 range also expected upgrade MultiAir engines sometime within next couple of years, along dual-clutch transmission for Punto. We’ll have wait see which engines will feature when 500 finally makes transatlantic voyage, but the meantime Fiat’s released fresh batch of images of the pair of new Abarths on the road. Check ‘em out the gallery below, along the press release after the jump.
